Fact: Gochujang, the fiery Korean chili paste, flavoured dishes are so popular just because of the exceptionally unique flavor profile. And it’s everywhere starting from noodles to pasta and spreads. That’s exactly where the magic happens turning a simple dish into a masterpiece. In this gochujang noodles recipe, this chili paste is the key ingredient. With the right recipe, you can even turn simple noodles into a showstopper. I have opted for a minimal ingredient dish that can actually highlight the gorgeousness of this ingredient. While the vibrant colour makes it look pretty, the flavor is incredibly amazing.

Make sauce – The lip smacking fiery sauce is the key highlight of this noodles recipe. Korean chili paste or gochujang, the main ingredient, is combined with regular soy sauce, vinegar or mirin, sugar and water. The combination of spicy, sweet and tangy flavors is what makes this sauce so unique and delicious. Cook noodles – Start with stir frying garlic and spring onions. Once it’s fragrant, add the sauce and cook for 4 minutes. Wait until you get a beautiful vibrant sauce. Next, add in noodles and toss. I like to serve them with a light drizzle of sesame oil, boiled eggs, steamed bok choy, and a generous sprinkle of sesame seeds.
