The best Italian seasoning substitute? Homemade! It’s very easy to make Italian seasoning at home. Here’s what to mix together to make 3 tablespoons Italian seasoning.
1 tablespoon dried oregano2 teaspoons dried basil2 teaspoons dried thyme (not ground)1 teaspoon dried sage½ teaspoon dried rosemary

Another great Italian seasoning substitute? A combination of oregano and basil! These dried herbs have the strongest flavor profile in Italian seasoning. If you have dried thyme, you can throw in a little of that as well. Here are a few ideas:
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning = ½ teaspoon dried oregano and ½ teaspoon dried basil1 teaspoon Italian seasoning = ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon each dried basil and thyme
3. Herbes de Provence.
