Simple ingredients with the right balance of flavors brings you deliciousness from all angles. In this broccoli melts recipe, super green broccoli is topped with grated cheese and stacked on your favorite bread to create the ultimate meal. The key element in this recipe is definitely the broccoli. All you need to do is remove the stems, chop the florets into small bite sized pieces and sauté in a little oil until tender. Don’t forget a light sprinkle of salt. And some freshly grated garlic to level up the flavor. I also like to add a little Italian seasoning to the sautéed broccoli. You’ll also need your favorite bread – sourdough, ciabatta, baguettes, panini or even wholemeal bread. I used panini for this broccoli melts recipe, and it tastes amazing when toasted with a little butter. Again, if you’re after a healthy version, skip butter. Finally, top the toasted bread with broccoli and cheese. Place under the grill (broiler) to melt the cheese. With cheese, go with your favorite – cheddar, mozzarella or provolone.Trust me, broccoli melts made with simple ingredients is super delicious, and it’s definitely one of the best ways to add more veggies to your diet.
