Do you have a favorite chicken recipe? I mean, the kind of recipe that appears on your menu at least once in a week. One of my main blogging goals this year is to bring you easy recipes that’ll cut down the amount of time you spend in your kitchen. And with the big holiday season gradually approaching, you’ll also need plenty of ideas to create awesome leftover meals. Well, this chicken chaat recipe is not only quick and easy but also a great way to use up any leftover grilled chicken. Moreover, it’s a must addition to your weekly menu. You see, a recipe that never fails to impress everyone at the dinner table has to adorn a special place on your menu. Honestly, this is one of my most favorite chicken recipes. Since I didn’t had any leftover chicken, I made this from scratch. I decided to go with my all-time favorite chicken tikka for the first part of this chicken chaat recipe. Chicken cubes are marinated in two different stages, and grilled to golden perfection. You can check out the recipe and video right here.

As I mentioned, leftover chicken including any grilled, baked or pan fried chicken makes a great substitute for the chicken tikka. One of my favorite ways to make this chaat is with rotisserie chicken. Ok, now this chicken chaat recipe. Start by sautéing onions in oil until they’re browned. Fry up a small chili and a couple of garlic cloves for another layer of flavor. Add a few teaspoonfuls of tomato purée or chopped up tomatoes. Then the cooked chicken goes into the pan, and gets coated in garam masala and chaat masala. Feel free to add some chili powder for more heat. Cucumbers and tomatoes are chopped up and added to the chaat. And a final garnish of coriander (cilantro) leaves gives you the perfect spiced appetizer for your next gathering.
