Making pizza from scratch is so much fun. Imagine pizza base as a blank canvas where you can create the ultimate masterpiece. You can choose any topping that you love, and it’ll certainly taste fantastic. Today, I’m going to share with you an amazingly delicious way to eat pizza – chicken tikka pizza. It’s basically an Indian themed version of your favorite takeaway, and I really want to highlight one of the hugely popular Indian dishes in this pizza recipe, chicken tikka. For this recipe, I’ve used the usual pizza toppings like pizza sauce, veggies and herbs along with homemade chicken tikka. The chicken tikka recipe on the blog is one of my all-time favorites, and it’s beyond delicious. So I really wanted to incorporate this amazing tikka into this recipe. Trust me, it’s a must try. The recipe for this chicken tikka pizza starts with the pizza base. You can always use store bought pizza base, but I really love the homemade version. I’ve the ultimate recipe for pizza base on the blog. If you want to make pizza base from scratch, don’t forget to check out the recipe. You’ll also need to make chicken tikka separately. While chicken tikka is cooking, make pizza base, and roll it out into a circle. Make sure you have a thick outer edge, and prick holes on the base using a fork except the edges. This will prevent the base from puffing up, and the center of the base remains thin and crispy. When chicken tikka comes out of the oven, you can top the pizza with pizza sauce, mozzarella, fresh or dried rosemary (or oregano), cooked chicken, bell peppers (capsicum), and olives. If you want to add a little heat to this pizza recipe, sprinkle with red chili flakes. Finally, bake. For cooking pizza, I prefer a pizza stone or pizza pan.
