How to make dill sauce: a few tips!

This dill sauce is as simple as mixing all the ingredients together: done and done! It takes just 5 minutes to make. Here are a few tips before you start:

Make your desired consistency by varying the water. There’s a lot of variation in thickness between Greek yogurt brands. The consistency of sauce you want will vary based on whether you are using it as a dip or as a drizzling sauce. Add just enough water to come to the right consistency. The fresh dill + dried dill combo takes the cake. This sauce uses both fresh dill and dried dill: you can use only fresh, but adding in the dried helps to take the sauce to the next level.

Variation: use mayo for a richer sauce

Are you planning to use this sauce with shrimp or salmon? Or French fries? You can also substitute half of the Greek yogurt for mayo. Here’s more:

Using a little mayo adds richness and a silky texture. The richness and texture makes it tastes a little more like a finished sauce: a little like a ranch dressing!Mayo adds calories, but also makes it more satisfying. Note that the sauce will have more calories, but it will also be more satisfying and you’ll likely need a smaller portion size.
