Here’s stunning recipe for entertaining: try this Holiday Punch! It’s bright and bubbly, topped with citrus fruits, berries and herbs. Sparkling wine makes sweet tart bubbles, complemented by ginger ale, orange liqueur and pineapple juice. Take one sip and you’ll immediately want to take another! This punch recipe makes 12 servings and is ideal for any sort of gathering: for holidays or any time of the year. Here’s how it’s made!

What’s in this Holiday Punch recipe?

This Holiday Punch is an alcoholic punch recipe, but you can easily make it non-alcoholic as well (see the section below). Here’s what you’ll need to combine in a large punch bowl:

Champagne or Prosecco, or dry white wineGinger aleCointreau (or Triple Sec)Pineapple Juice

Chill all ingredients (no need for ice)

There’s no need for ice in this Holiday Punch: in fact, you should avoid using it! Ice dilutes a punch, making the flavor weaker. In some cocktails it’s necessary. But it’s not needed here: the best flavor comes from simply chilling all ingredients before you serve! You can get away with not chilling the Cointreau, but everything else should be chilled.

Sparkling wine adds bubbles, or use white wine

This Holiday Punch is fantastic with sparking wine, because it boost the bubbles! We prefer a good Prosecco to champagne, because it’s less expensive and has great flavor! But you could use a dry white wine instead. Here are the differences between these sparkling wine options:

Champagne: French sparkling wine (the most expensive choice). It tastes bubbly and fruity, with undertones of almond and orange. A good bottle costs $30 to $40, so you may want to save that for drinking straight. Prosecco: Italian sparkling wine. It’s a little sweeter than champagne: fruity and flowery, with notes of apple, pear and lemon. A good bottle costs about $15. Cava: Spanish sparkling wine. It has more citrus notes, and is a little more savory and less fruity. It also typically costs around $15.
