 Yield: 4 Kerala Beef Fry         			Print		    Kerala style beef fry.     Prep Time 20 minutes    Cook Time 20 minutes    Total Time 40 minutes      Ingredients   						1 kg beef fillet, cut into cubes					  						1 onion finely sliced					  						1 shallot roughly chopped					  						1 tbsp garlic paste					  						1 tsp ginger paste					  						2 cardamom pods					  						1” cinnamon stick					  						3-4 cloves					  						2-3 dried red chilies					  						2 large green chilies, cut in half					  						½ cup coconut slices					  						½ tsp mustard seeds					  						½ tsp ground turmeric					  						3 tbsp ground coriander					  						3 tbsp garam masala					  						1 tsp chilly powder					  						1 sprig of curry leaves					  						1 tsp freshly grated black pepper					  						Oil					  						Salt to taste					  						Coriander leaves (cilantro) to garnish (optional)					     Instructions Place cubed beef, sliced onions, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, coconut slices, ground turmeric, ground coriander, garam masala, chilly powder, and enough salt. Mix well, cover the cooker, and pressure cook until the fifth or sixth whistle.Wait until all the steam escapes before opening the cooker. Remove the lid, place the cooker over medium heat, and let it simmer until all water dries up.In another pan, heat oil and splutter 1/2 tsp mustard seeds along with cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, red chilies, and curry leaves. Transfer cooked beef to the pan, and mix well. Check the seasoning at this stage, and add more salt if required. Also add freshly grated black pepper. Serve the spicy Kerala beef fry hot decorated with coriander leaves.
