Making pumpkin spice syrup
For the basic pumpkin spice coffee, you’ll need a homemade pumpkin spice syrup. This is a great method because you end up with a jar of syrup that works for lots of drinks! Here’s what you’ll need for the syrup:
½ cup brown sugar ½ cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice
Simmer those ingredients for about 2 minutes until they dissolve, then strain them through a fine mesh strainer. Refrigerate this until using: it makes a big batch you can use for about 12 drinks!
Drip coffee methods
If you’re making pumpkin spice coffee or iced coffee, you’ll need a great hot cup of joe. Of course, you can use any type of coffee making method you like: even a electric coffee maker! But here are a few methods we think make a better pot of coffee:
