Great taste thanks for sharing I made Shahi Toast today, liked it. In the recipe you say it takes about 20 minutes to reduce the milk to half the volume. I tried even on higher than medium heat, it took much longer than 20 minutes, and it was not still so thick. Should the milk reduce to the consistency of malai? How long will that take? Ramesh, wide frying pan helps saving time when we are trying to reduce the milk can we use heavy cream or whipping cream instead? Made this for my wife… Very easy to make and it was mind blowing… Yum yum yummy! She liked it a lot… Wow…All my favourite dishes Is very good& tasty receipy. excellent .. a very simple n healthy version .. we can use skimmed milk too .. I guess .. I have tsted many times shahi tukhda ..but always felt it can be simple without cream .. plus lots of nuts added in each layer .. makes it very heavy. Looks delicious…! I started enjoying vegetarian food once I tried your recipes, thanks a ton!! this is such a delicious recipe my son ( 2 and half) love very much. it is very easy to prepare dessert. after doing twice i came to understand the real taste… the secret is we have to boil the milk very thick and sugar should be caramelized in the milk. otherwise toast will become soggy. if follow all the steps of manjula ji.. will get a great delicious shahi toast. its really too delicious. thanks to manjulaji..
