Do you love the unique combo of sweet and sour flavors? This sweet and sour tofu is the vegan version of your restaurant favorite. A delicious sweet and sour sauce makes the base of this tofu recipe. To make the sauce, simply combine together soy sauce, tomato paste, rice vinegar, sugar and corn flour. I’ve also added in a little sweet chili sauce to make the sauce more delicious. You’ll need to coat the tofu in this sweet and sticky sauce. But before that, toss the tofu pieces in a little corn flour and fry them in oil. This will give it a super crispy texture. To make the sweet and sour tofu, heat a little oil, and fry ginger-garlic paste, chopped spring onions and sauce a few minutes. Remember to add some water if the sauce is too dry. Now the tofu goes back into pan. Toss well to coat them in the sauce. You can also add a few veggies like bell peppers (capsicum) and carrots if you like.
