Banana bites made with whole wheat flour. Can a snack get any better than this? I’m not calling them healthy, but at least there’s no refined flour in them. Locally, in Kerala, they are called banana bonda, a sweet snack made from bananas and flour. I’ve done a couple of deep fried banana goodies for the blog already, but this is the very first time I’m combining deep frying with whole wheat flour. I was bit worried about ending up with rock hard banana bites. But to my surprise, bananas made them soft and tender inside, and crispy outside. If you want to go with traditional version, replace whole wheat flour with plain flour. Serve these crispy, crunchy snack with a hot cup of tea. Perfect! Peel and mash the banana.
